In Randstad Rotterdam, we renovated a monumental villa built in 1866. This beautiful property, with its rich history and characteristic elements, required a careful balance between preserving its authentic heritage and modern living comfort.

During the renovation, we restored historical details such as ornaments, murals, original doors and marble panelling. For the interior design, we worked closely with Studio Van Der Poort, who created a contemporary design that perfectly complements the property’s historical value. We also made the building more sustainable, so that the villa is now not only comfortable, but also energy-efficient, without compromising its monumental character.

The result is a harmonious blend of historic character, contemporary living comfort and sustainability, with which we have preserved the soul of the house for future generations.

Wild Mind

Over the next year, we are working on the customised renovation of this beautiful thatched villa in suburban Utrecht. We are working with RA. Studio to realise their challenging interior design. Besides the internal renovation, the ambitious plans include the creation of an elegant garden with veranda, pool house and swimming pool. The comfort of living is further enhanced by the integration of innovative home automation systems to control the property.

This renovation is more than just a project. It is a transformation that brings the villa back to life and lays the foundation for a modern lifestyle, with a fresh, contemporary and extravagant look. Monument

This project entails the renovation of a beautiful villa from 1915, designated as a municipal monument. The internal renovation revived the villa, merging modern conveniences and comforts with the historical elements.

An important part of this renovation was to make the property more sustainable. It is exceptional to take a monumental building from 1915 completely off the gas and make it full electric, without compromising its historical value. We achieved this by insulating large parts of the property with special facade insulation and by installing a heat pump, which provides efficient and sustainable heating. Thanks to this innovative approach, the villa is not only a shining example of historical heritage, but also a pioneer in sustainability.
